Display stopped working within minutes and then Powerball failed to start,
This review is from: Powerball Signature Series 250Hz (Sports)
Received this as a Christmas gift - I was in two minds as to whether I wanted one after reading some of the reviews on Amazon. Well, my Powerball can be added to the list of ones that failed. Within minutes of getting it started, the display suddenly stopped working. After going trawling online for support, it appears this is a common fault, which usually requires new (and expensive) batteries to correct. However, a few minutes later, the actual Powerball just failed. No matter how much I and others tried, we couldn't get the thing to start working again.
On a more practical note, the Powerball is itself quite noisy when it works and if you're just after some hand/forearm exercises when you're sitting at your desk or watching TV then I'd recommend this excellent hand grip 66FIT Adjustable Hand Grip Exerciser - 10 - 40 kg - which does everything that the Powerball does, but without noise and flashing lights. As others have said, the Powerball is more of a gimmick.
Returned to Amazon and won't be getting another one.

Rory Mcloughney says:
We are very sorry to hear of you disappointment with your Powerball purchase and the failure of the LCD display, it certainly sounds like you've had a less than satisfactory experience with your purchase in this case.
In truth, with over 3,000,000 Powerballs sold to date, it is correct to say that there will be some cases where a product may fail, albeit, given the number sold over the past 14 years, and the number (millions) of satisfied customers using this product around the globe, we are pleased to report that the percentage of units failing is very, very small; in those cases, and indeed for any single issue where a Powerball isn't giving our customer 100% satisfaction, we'd like to remind that it's offered with an unlimited lifetime warranty (whether it fails as a result of a manufacturing issue or simply because it was dropped or customer damaged in some other way) and regardless of whether the item is purchased from Amazon or from any approved Powerball dealer, we'll always be pleased to supply spare parts at no charge to ensure that your experience with our product is nothing but a positive one (and when I write 'lifetime' I mean lifetime; whether it's a week, a year, 10 years or 15 after the date of original purchase, we'll always be pleased to hear from you if you need a part to keep your Powerball in tip top condition)
Once again however, in this case I can only apologise for the less than satisfactory experience you have had and thank you for your valued consideration of what I've written above.
