Good for a freebie, but not my kind of romance, erotic or otherwise,

This review is from: The Ride (Kindle Edition)This is a tale about Rose, who picks up a hitchhiker, Heath, on his way to see his 6yo daughter who lives with his ex-wife. She lives with her useless boyfriend from when they moved in together 10 years ago, straight out of school. He treats her mean, but her friends and family love him and think that he's great, so she's never been able to dump him.
They think that they'll never see each other again, so their journey time turns into a sort of therapy session, culminating in some hot, descriptive sex in a motel room before they part. He to be a good dad and she to get rid of the deadbeat BF.
But, things don't go to plan and the BF railroads her into an engagement, to the delight of her parents. On New Years Eve, Heath calls her, and her BF answers, telling him not to call again, and demanding that Heath leave his wife alone. He then backhands Rose in front of her mother and chucks her phone, but it still works.
Rose finally finds the courage to walk out on her BF in her parents home, and rings Heath, and they agree to meet to explore what may be in store for her.
Why didn't I love this? Because of the cheating aspect - cheating is cheating in my book, but I understand why she did it. Other than that, it had a real story as well as hot sex, but several typos which distracted me a touch.
