Shamefully let down by Kindle,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Border Crossing (Paperback)
Pat Barker is always sure to deliver an excellent read, but this isn't her best. The plot is fast-paced and hugely interesting but characterisation isn't as convincing or detailed as in her other books, though the subject matter is fascinating.
However my main reason for reviewing this is to protest about the Kindle edition, which is riddled with typos, some of them so bad I had to re-read whole paragraphs to make out the meaning. At £6.99 it isn't a cheap book, and Pat Barker has been badly let down. Surely it isn't much to ask that Kindle editions get efficiently checked!
