5.0 out of 5 stars Great little Android Tablet, 30 Jun. 2011
This review is from: Dell Streak 7 7-inch Tablet PC (nVidia Tegra T20, RAM 512MB, HDD 16GB, WVGA Multi-Touch, Gorilla Glass, WLAN, BT, Webcam, Android 2.2) (Personal Computers)
Purchased as an alternative to the Ipad, I have to say that this little tablet is surprisingly good.

The screen pixel density isn't as good as the ipad and it doesn't have 3G built in but it was easy to connect over wifi or tether to my android phone and it zips through websites thanks to the built in dual-core Tegra 2 processor. It also has flash support which is great for all those websites with flash content that just won't play on the ipad.

It runs Android 2.2 but Dell have skinned it to be more tablet friendly, using larger widgets that make good use of the 7 inch screen. It really does feel like a good tablet operating system.

At roughly the same size as the Galaxy tab, this tablet is easy to hold and easy to operate yet small enough to fit in my suit jacket pocket.

The rear camera takes good pictures and 720p video which is great when I want to upload a photo of a random event to my blog.

One of the better things about this tablet is the ability to use full size SDHC cards. This means no paying through the nose for a 32GB SD card to boost the memory capacity.

All in all, I'm keeping an Ipad as I have too many apps that I paid for but I'm also going to hold onto this for a while (until the next shiny tablet catches my eye) because of the flash support, it is pocketable, it's customisable, it powerful but mostly, it's fresh and fun to use.

Can not be used as a phone! However, it does take a sim card and connects through 3G, don't know what the guy is on about in the review, I use it with a Giffgaff sim and have unlimited 3G.
Yes it has a front camera (not brilliant) but good enough for Skype
