This review is from: Approaches and Methods in Language Teaching (Cambridge Language Teaching Library) (Paperback)
Really good book. It goes over the main language teaching approaches and methods, and gives quite a lot of contextual information that helps to understand the evolution of language teaching. Larsen-Freeman's one is more "straight to the point" and "easy" (I also enjoyed that book very much) whereas Richards' gives more historical, linguistic, social background; more theory, sort to say. Both are very good books, in my opinion.
