home cooks review,
This review is from: The Market Kitchen Cookbook (Hardcover)
Being a fan of Market Kitchen I was very disappointed with the content of this cookbook,a lot of the dishes were not very family friendly, meats like wood pigeon and venison steaks and fish like crayfish and scallops (very, very expensive)would be out of the reach of most ordinary home cooks not only expense wise but actually being able to find some of the ingredients would be difficult, one dish I found good (except for the expensive scallops)was the 'really good fish pie',I also think there were too few illustrations to accompany some of the dishes, its always nice to see what the end product will look like.all in all very disappointing.

J. Hutchings says:
Any 'fan' of Market Kitchen would be aware of the wonderfully diverse variety of ingredients used in each programme, how they advocate using local sources, farm shops etc so it can't really come as a shock. The product description offered by Amazon is also a very good indication of what to expect in the book, including a detail of recipes offered.
