Motifs and symbols from the world of embroidery,
This review is from: Embroidered Textiles: A World Guide to Traditional Patterns (Paperback)
For anyone who enjoys textiles and embroidery, this book should be on the top of your list. If you do not already possess the hardback edition, this paperback edition is a revised and expanded edition of the 2008 hardback. It is well worth buying. Written by one of the foremost writers on the subject, this is an intelligent and highly readable world guide to traditional patterns. Students and artists will find the book a treasure and it is also very useful to the collector of textiles. Motifs and symbols from many regions with a useful short dictionary of stitches. Wonderful photographs and pertinent text.

Both hardback and paperback editions are listed as 240 pages so are they not the same? However it is expanded from the original 1990 hardback (1995 paperback) edition.
