This review is from: Supernatural - Complete Fifth Season [DVD] (DVD)
I love this series of Supernatural, now if your into biblical theology then this series is a brilliant beacon into The Book of Revelations.
So the series begins immediately after the Finale of Series 4, in Sam opening the Cage of Satan's Pit at St. Mary's Convent.
Now I admit that the whole of the first half of the series is full of Dean's Angst and Worrying smothered in his self-styled bravado whilst Sam goes into his default Emo mode, which is understandable for what he has inadvertanently done.
This series has a number of sub-plots that tend to entwine and help keep the viewer engaged to the series' endgame: The Showdown with Lucifer Himself.
We have Castiel's search for God, The Heaven Vs Hell Chess Match, The Hunt and extermination of The Four Horseman all to keep you entertained.
Also I'm a bit slow-witted but this season actually keeps a couple of puns regarding other films/series that Jared Padelecki and Jensen Ackles have been in, e.g. Episode 5 has Paris Hilton as a Demi-God and Dean says "I'm sorry Paris but I'm not one of your BFF's, I haven't even watched House of Wax", House of Wax not only refering to where the brothers have been captured, but also a film that both Paris and Jared starred in.
Now I hope I haven't spoiled it too much but maybe it has intrigued you to buy these DVDs to see the whole series.
