This is a Football management game for PC, where you can choose to be manager of over 200 clubs from different leagues around the world. It includes the four English divisions, the Scottish league, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Austria, Holland, Portugal and Switzerland. There are league fixtures and friendlys, with the latter helping you to understand the games tactics, player selection, and how those players signed in the transfer window work out.
I tried this game with my 10 year old who doesn't really watch football, and a 14 year old lad who loves it. My 10 year old because frustrated after 20 minutes, and his first friendly. These are the comments of the 14 year old lad:
"I enjoyed being able to sell, buy and loan players, and also what their wages and length of contracts are. Its pretty basic as well, so easy to understand. Its also good because English clubs have their real names, so you can play your favourite and well known clubs. I think positive parts of this game are that the game really helps to introduce children and younger people to football management, and the negative parts are the poor graphics and lack of action to keep children interested. I do think this game would appeal more to adults than children due to the lack of action. Also, adults may enjoy the whole managing aspect."
I would recommend this game. For those who like the managing aspect, its really comprehensive, and would be fun for football fans, those who are really interested in football across the leagues. The game has a lot to recommend it, especially in the statistics of the various players - who is good at which skills. It would also give further opportunities to re play real games in a virtual world.
