A good and easy read,
This review is from: Diana - The Last Word (Hardcover)
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and found that underneath the sensationalism, was a very real aspect of Princess Diana. Her genuine humanitarianism and intelligence are a far cry from the manipulative person the media portrayed her to be.
What makes this book different, is that it's warm and endearing, not an intellectually driven epic.
Simmons wasn't a member of staff, so didn't really understand the day to day running of the palace, but was a good friend, who knew the Princess in a very different way. From what I've read, I feel as if I now know and understand Diana the person and wonderful human being.
