I was looking forward to the release of this CD, as I'm a huge fan of Angie. Although she's in fine voice as usual (and gets all my points for her singing), I have to say I was disappointed. I've listened to the CD several times, hoping it would turn out to be a slow burner in comparison to her other titles (which immediately hit me between the ears!). But I haven't seen the light; the accompanying music is very unadventurous and 'samey' so that the whole CD sounds to me like one long track, with the exception of 'My People' and 'Baby'.

I'm sorry J Francis' i gotta dissagree i just gotta . You may be right about it sounding like one long track but you gotta set the mood . I think her tempo is about as slow as i would like her to go , she has a great voice aligned with solid bass , just relax and let Angie do the rest . It so good , I believe she is just about to release a new album... c'mon Amazon where are the samples at .
