Wow! who would have thought buying a mattress for your first child could be such a pain in the butt! after trawling all the shops and searching online it certainly became a bit daunting as there is a lot of choice out there - and a HUGE mark up on most of them!!!, after reading lots of reviews for this and a few other products I decided to give it a go and am very glad I did. The mattress is brilliant it fit perfectly in our Mamas and Papas cotbed an is better than the one they offered us at the shop for £120! to be blunt it is superb quality and exactly what we wanted. probably sounds stupid but it is just a miniture version of a high quality mattress you would have on your own bed. It works amazingly well with the angelcare sensor pad which was important to us and not mentioned in other reviews. Everything the seller promised they delivered on which is almost a novelty in itself nowadays.
The big questions I suppose are would I buy the product again and would I recommend the product?
The answer to both is a yes without a doubt. - a brilliant mattress at a bargain price.

Just saw this review and I can remember writing it so I thought I'd post a follow up. Our boy is now 18months+ old and has used this mattress since he was 10 weeks. The mattress has stood the test of time and is still doing as good a job as when we initially bought it. Would I buy it again? most certainly and have recommended it also to expecting friends. Our boy was (9lb 10oz at birth so was a heavy baby to begin with and we have had no problems at all with it and he has slept through the night since he was around 3 months or there abouts. Quite simply a genuine product that has lived up to its expectations. Hooray!

Thank you for taking the time to add this to your comment. I am now going to purchase one for my little grandson to be, due next Feb 13. These comments are so very useful.

I agree, the comment about the angelcare sensor pad has saved me from digging up the angelcare manual to check what types of mattresses are suitable. It's good to know that you've had a good experience with yours, to save me second-guessing myself!
