Possibly the only drum plugin you'll need,
This review is from: TOONTRACK EZ DRUMMER Computer music Drum Kits (DVD-ROM)
Before getting EZDrummer I used the kits in SampleTank and Plugsound Drum&Percs.
This is infinitely better in terms of sound quality and ease of use - I now use it exclusively.
It only includes 2 kits (pop/rock and cocktail) but there are between 2 and 6 drop-down options for each kit element so there's some scope for customisation.
The groove library will let you sketch out a song in minutes - just audition and then drag and drop onto your drum track. The styles are mainly pop and rock so you might want to add other EZDrummer kits if you want different groove patterns and don't want to tweak the midi.
The mic control is superb (the ability to control bleed is a nice touch) as is the handling of repetitive hits.
Downsides? No tambourine and no brush options for the main kit.
If you can, get a copy of the free EZDrummer Lite (it was included in the Dec 09 issue of Computer Music magazine which you might be able to back order). With a Lite serial number you can upgrade to the full version for about half price - which is unbeatable value for such a great drum plugin.
