This review is from: Overcoming Your Child's Fears and Worries: A Self-help Guide Using Cognitive Behavioral Techniques (Overcoming Books) (Paperback)
This book was fantastic in helping me and my 12 year old son deal with his panic attacks and he has overcome each one using the cognitive method this book promotes. It does take time and patience from parent and child, and encourages progress step by step.Do not try to rush through it. It will bring you and your child closer together.
My son, now 14.has not had any anxiety attacks for 18 months, and is so happy. Judging by the number of adults that confided in me that they still have things they avoid doing as they get panic attacks- I am convinced that without this book explaining carefully how to face every one of your worries step by step, he would have had an ongoing problem.
Thank you Lucy Willetts and Cathy Cresswell.
