Something as small as this packs some punch,
This review is from: Microsoft LifeCam HD-6000N (Accessory)
Upon receiving this for Christmas, I was amazed to see how small it was. Especially by the fact it was a laptop designed camera and I don't have a laptop. That said, a bit of blu-tack on the underside of the clip and placing that on the front of my monitor sorted that out. Anyone saying it won't go on anything wider than a laptop lip might need to take heed of that! USB cable is short, very short, but then it is designed to sit on a laptop so that can be forgiven and makes sense really, but an extension cable to my tower sorted that out.
The room my computer is in doesn't have that much natural light coming in and the lightbulb I currently have isn't that bright, but having said that, the image quality and brightness from the camera is amazing. It sorts the aperture and focussing in seconds and gives you beautifully vibrant colours and a crip image everytime.
I took this to work and stuck it up on the top of a cupboard connected to a laptop running software which was taking images every 15 seconds of people walking by and busying themselves. The widescreen picture it was incredible and gave an outstanding preformance.
Running 30 frames a second at 720p, this camera is well worth the money. Like for like, it's not the best camera on the market, but for you pay, it's an absolute knockout.
