Great idea, superb quality, 1 drastic problem!,

This is a great bit of kit. I bought one at a bird reserve, then spent the next two days wearing it, so I've had some time to work it over in the field. it is surprisingly comfortable and does a great job of spreading the weight evenly. At no point did I bang my head on my spotting scope above my head, even watching things above my head. being able to keep it on the tripod when it's set up is great, and as an added bonus the pocket is at a great height for holding the bird book in. There are two straps on the shoulder straps. I have no idea what they're for! If anyone has any insight, could they let me know!
There is a basic but functional waist band too. This keeps everything in place nicely. It never feels like the weight is pulling down on one side or the other, nothing bangs or flops about, it keeps everything really solid, but doesn't hinder your moving at all. It really is very good indeed.
Why not 5 stars? there's nowhere to put even a small flask of tea! The pocket is on the inside - between the shoulder straps and the carrier - and whilst this isn't a problem with a book or books in there, there's no way you're getting a flask in there. I'm thinking of adding some kind of flask holding contraption to the back of it, as I think there's plenty of room.
So close to 5 stars, for want of a cup of tea!
