Hans Zimmer Eat Your Heart Out...,
This review is from: Thunderbirds 2 (Audio CD)Though volume one was excellent, volume two contains more of the exciting cues that I remember singing to myself whilst playing with my Thunderbirds toys nearly forty years ago. As a long time TV theme collector these are albums I have waited all that time to posess and finally they're here in crystal clarity. On listening to the scope and quality of the music and musicians on these albums, it's hard to believe that this was simply music to accompany a children's puppet series. Few big budget productions of today have music of this depth and standard. Barry Gray's themes gave life and personality to wooden puppets, and high drama to miniaturised action. He is a much overlooked composer and these albums provide a great collection of some of his best work.

Excellent review sir! I was similarly brought up on Thunderbirds when they repeated them all on a Saturday morning in 1970. I also loved the music as I would watch the drama unfold. Gerry Anderson certainly knew how to entertain us kids back then, glad I'm not 7 years old today with the rubbish the kids have to watch today.
