Second part of Trilogy.,
This review is from: The Bull At The Gate (Torc of Moonlight: Book 2) (Kindle Edition)
There are some books you download and you can swish through them: they are like enjoyable chewing gum. Linda Acaster does not write books like that. You have to concentrate, think through the layers, read deliberately and not hurry because if you do, you'll miss the nuances. Nick Blaketon has taken a job in York, a city rich in history. He is trying to get his life back on track, trying for normality. Then his colleague, Sophie, goes missing. The police dig into Nick's history and he becomes suspect number 1. The author builds the tension notch by notch leaving the reader unsure of what is real and what is not. And underlying everything is Nick's total focus on getting back the love of his life.
