This review is from: The Scarecrow (Paperback)
I was beginning to wonder if MC had any more books left in him to write since the terrible Lincoln Lawyer this is the first book I have enjoyed since that one, despite desperately missing the miserable Harry Bosch, I was pleastantly surprised that McEvoy worked for me.
The book ran through smoothly and flawlessly and at a reletively fast pace. I won't bother explaining the ins and outs of the book as that's what the book's synopsis is for. However, I still cannot put my hand on heart and say it is as good as the older ones - in other words the ones pre- Lincoln Lawyer.
If you are new to MC then go for the older books much much better. Hopefully future books will get back to this level of writing rather than writing book after book which tend to become more shallow...
Fingers crossed I can put Mr Connelly back on top of my favourite author list before long.
