Wonderful and Tasty!,
This review is from: Bake It (It series) (Cook It) (Paperback)
I got this book with no high expectations - sure, some cool recipes would be there, bot nothing ground-breaking, right? Wrong. The recipes I have tried already have been a wonderful success - among my favourites are the Moacha Lamingtons (the only flaw being that the two halves - the plain and coffee - of the sponge mixture were too wet to stay even, but this can be easily and attractively avoided by marbling the sponge) which an Australian friend of mine said were just like the real deal, and the Date-Cinnamon Slices, which my other had been demanding ever since i made them the first time. I would tell anyone else to buy this - the recipes are simple and explained well, and there is plenty of room on the pages if you like graffiti-ing your cookbooks like I do with added improvements/suggestions! There are so many recipes that are realistic enough that you want to try them out, but if you want to show off for a dinner party or friends then there is a certain marbled chocolate cheesecake in there that looks to die for.
Listen to the five-star review - i promise, you'll never go back!
