This review is from: Behind The Scenes At The Museum (Mass Market Paperback)
Previous reviewers have said so much, maybe too much, about this novel. This was my first Kate Atkinson experience and what a treat it was. She is a wonderful writer. She is the writer I want to be. She has written the books I want to write... Behind the Scenes at the Museum demands that you remain alert, as stories from various stages through time, are fed to the reader piece by piece and not necessarily in chronological order... Sounds complicated, but Atkinson's wonderful style and clever narrative delivers the structue effortlessly. Her characters are seemingly ordinary people, yet like many of us, have a past packed with details that are sometimes trite and juicy and at other times are quite shocking.
