3.0 out of 5 stars It's in the old style red & green 3d, 6 Oct. 2011
This review is from: Piranha 3D (Blu-ray 3D) (Blu-ray)
Please be aware - unlike me that this film has been released not in polorid 3D as you may have seen in the moviie house - but in the older , cheaper and not so good red & green glasses format - Anaglyptic (I think it called 3D -which was the original 3D format used in the 50's & 60's - Most 3D Blu rays are now done so they work with the Polorod glasses systerm which is far superiour 3D - it obviously is a very exspencive production cost - which is why some film released in 3D don't get Produced in a 3D Blu ray version alwsy - This company decided to opt for the cheaper version 3D - because it's in the title and also because you don't need a 3D TV to watch it - so it has a bigger audiance - which is far play to them - It's a shame as it effects the colour of the film as this style of 3D only realy worked well with Black & white .
I do think it shafull the company do not state that is is in the Anaglyptic verson on the pack - for people who are collecting the Pollorid version and also If this is your first sample of 3D movies as produced for today film market you will not be impressed at all -because it is no better than the old version -
Pleas be aware the Poloriod 3D - as used in the movie houses and for other 3D Blu rays is the best at the moment . These Companys do mention you need a 3D player & a 3D telivision to watch there film on there cases so no one can make a mistake .
Just wanted to bring this to your attention as there are not enought 3D (poloriod) films around as yet and People need to know the differnce . Thank you.

The description states that it has two 3D version; the one that uses the supplied red/green glasses & one for 3D TVs & Blu-ray players. Double check your system settings & compatibility to make sure you were using it properly. I bought 'Coraline' & it came with the red/blue glasses, but also plays in real 3D with the right player/TV combo.
