A Cyprus Journey,
This review is from: A Cyprus Journey: Memoirs of National Service (Paperback)
An interesting enough account of the day to day tasks and responsibilities of a national serviceman in the fifties. It wasn't really what I bought the book for, i.e. more explanation of the political situation and the conflict with EOKA and pursuit of Grivas. This is no fault of the author, who was stationed near Rizokarpaso, miles away from the main action. Nevertheless, some useful insights into a difficult period of British (and Cypriot) history and a worthy record of one serviceman's experiences.
