Best Star Wars Game Ever?,
This review is from: Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter (PS2) (Video Game)
Maybe not but is a real contender for no. 1 top spot. Jedi Starfighter is a brilliant flight sim with excellent controls that at the start take a while to get used to but after the first few training levels the controls become instinctive. As this is a sequel to the original Starighter on PS2 fans of the original should feel right at home, with the same wingmate command buttons and lock on features. However this is not just a rehash at the original, with up to four secondary weapons now available, and the ability to fly the new prototype Jedi Starfighter(which will be making an appearance in the new Star Wars film "Attack of the Clones". The bonus features in JS are also improved as you can now unlock both one and two player special missions, new craft( including the x-wing and tie fighter from the original saga). You can also access other bonus features such as art from the upcoming film, art from the game and movie outakes. Finally a co-operative two player mode has now been added, so you can play through all of the one player missions with a friend to watch your back.
Jedi Starfighter is one of my favourite games, and has tremendous replay value with three difficulty settings and a co-operative mode. Many who have the original game will probably not get this as you'll think that they are too similar, you're wrong, this is a classic Star Wars game that both fans of the movies and newcomers(if that's possible?) will enjoy.
