My teeth ache,
This review is from: Me (Audio CD)
I listened to this as a result of Q Magazine's one star rating and critical lambasting. I didn't come to it hoping to dismiss it, I kind of like his Dad and honestly for weird affection reasons I was hoping this would be much better than Q suggested - obviously given the reviews here (happily) some do really like it.
But oh my god this is music to make your teeth ache - it just so turgid, so sticky, so grating, so banal - wow I haven't heard much this bad for ages. 'Thinking about rock 'n' roll it won't cure you, but it's good for your soul - oh yeah, thinking about you and I because it don't matter if we don't see eye to eye - oh no, it's so fine and it's going to be mine, life so fine and it's already mine'. Wow song after song of banal 'deep' meaningless lyrics, sung in a grating insipid style, your head begins to ache, your teetch begin to ache, seriously I'm not kidding this is every bit deserving of Qs one star. Their final lines are worth quoting 'It's painful. Couldn't someone have stepped in and saved him from all this?'. I don't always agree with them but sometimes they are so right, and believe me this time they are 100% right.
Have to go off to the Dentist or a neurologist now not sure which but I need help. Good luck to those who follow intrepdily behind and listen to this - you have more strength of purpose than me.
