I Don't Like It But I'm Not Going To Insist You Don't,
This review is from: Hawthorn and Child (Paperback)
I've read very diverse reviews for this book, one of the very few I've given up on part way through. I gave up before I read them.
Some say it's wonderful, modern edgy and the lack of plot and conclusion is brave and different.
Others say it's pointless, unfocussed and wilfully difficult. They say those that claim to get it can't because there is nothing to get.
Personally I thought it set off well with an intriguing murder but after several chapters of not knowing which character was speaking or doing something I gave up.
If you like to be challenged read it. If you like plot and a conclusion you'll be with me. One of the joys about books, very much like music is that we don't all have to like the same thing.
