This review is from: Entangled (Hardcover)
Having read most of Graham's books bar a couple I was looking forward to reading Entangled but knowing that this being his first work of fiction I wasn't quite sure what we were going get. Once I began reading I found the pace fast moving with so many different things happening the unfolding story soon becomes exciting and unexpected and certainly not predictable, which I really liked.
The story of the two girls' lives unfolds side by side and very easily one is soon engrossed into both, each separated by thousands of years yet entwined together in the spirit world or after life. Graham's descriptive style of writing unfolds to the reader scenes of lands unspoilt and brutal battles in the stone age, a young girls struggle to make sense of her life in the present tied together by a deceptive plot straddling both which becomes mixed up in the wonderment of the spirit world - one could really be there in the thick of it all. The story flows easily without interruptions, characters are well developed and each personality takes shape along the way allowing for the reader to easily build a picture getting to know them and further putting one closer to the action.
All in all I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and never for one moment got bored with it... on with the story !
