A very feeble high D whistle,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Glenluce Whistle in D Wooden (Electronics)
This wooden whistle is very disappointing. It lacks the rich tone that a wooden descant recorder provides. The sound from this wooden whistle is thin and dull with a tendency to squeal like a slippery E string on a fiddle.
It is a very inferior whistle. The sound is not as good as a £6 Clarke Sweetone tin whistle, or the Ferris plastic whistle.
The price is very high. For that price a very good Tony Dixon whistle could be bought, providing much better sound and much more reliable notes in both octaves.
I have tried most of the currently available high D whistles. The Glenluce whistle is just a waste of money.
