The aptly titled Afterglow doesn't disappoint,

Having been a follower of Neil Finn right back to the Split Enz era, I was intrigued by the realease of these so-called B-sides and cast-offs. I needn't have been so apprehensive. The Finn talent shines through.
From the opening song "I Am In Love", through to "Time Immemorial", this album is all that we have come to expect from the Finn family's pen. The only exception is possibly "My Telly's Gone Bung", but even that little ditty has a way of recalling itself on the drive home from work.
There are some classics - notably "Help Is Coming", "Recurring Dream" and "Left Hand", and the link back to the Split Enz days cannot be denied on "Lester" and the addictive "Dr Livingstone".
One is left feeling that with this quality of material being 'left out', the world is a poorer place without Crowded House.
