A good collection of tales,
This review is from: Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: v. 4 (BBC Audio) (Audio CD)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This audio CD contains three stories that were inspired by those of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle; they were not actually written by him. The author is Bert Coules and his stories are based on Dr Watson's passing references to other mysteries within the original novels.
The three mysteries initially appeared to be standalone pieces but they do need to be listened to chronologically, as there is reference to some of the detail of the first mystery in the last. I found the first tale `The Remarkable Performance of Mr Frederick Merridew' slightly disappointing but the second `The Eyes of Horus' was very good indeed. The third tale wound things up rather well.
Overall, I found this collection of tales proved to be a worthy accompaniment to an afternoon of relaxation.
