Excellent science heavy Paleo guide.,
This review is from: The Paleo Solution: The Original Human Diet (Hardcover)
I have just finished reading this book and I must say its great. I had been following the Paleo lifestyle via Mark Sissons Primal Blueprint(Also excellent Primal Blueprint: Reprogram Your Genes for Effortless Weight Loss, Vibrant Health & Boundless Energy (Primal Blueprint Series) This book covers the same general ideas as Primal living with only a few differences. The first half is quite science heavy but Robb Wolf has a great way of making it understandable. I would reccomend this book for anyone who hasn't gone Paleo yet and also for anyone already doing it who wants some more science based facts as to why it works and what is actually happening in your body.
Oh and for anyone wondering whether it works? Well I,ve lost 80lbs in 4 months without ever feeling hungry and energy is through the roof so you can make your own conclusions on where I stand about its effectiveness!

Wow, I am so impressed with your weight loss. It is truly fast. I have the same amount to lose as you did, but planned on a year to do it. I would never do that in four months, but hopefully it won't take a year. I would love to know if you have kept the way of eating up, and if you have maintained your excellent weight loss. Also have you gained muscle and strength on this diet, as opposed to high carb diets which lose muscle as well as fat.

Kept losing weight lost another 40lb. Put some back on though that was through shoulder injury and not sticking to paleo. Back on it again now and losing again. You need to look at it as a lifelong way of eating not as a diet. It 100% works

Thank you so much for replying. Again I am amazed at your tenacity with the diet, and for losing another forty pounds. I have only been Paleo for a week but all of my gut problems from acid reflux, wind etc. have vanished. I have very fluctuating energy though. Some days I feel like I don't want to get off the sofa, and others, like today, when I have more than enough energy. Maybe Adkin's flu. Yes I am sure it has to be a way of life, and seeing as I don't get the dreadful cravings that had me running for cake etc. it is so easy to do.

Did you lose your initial weight loss with the primal blueprint? I will be a complete beginner and would like your advice with which book I should go for.. At this moment I just want to throw myself in, I guess the thirst for knowledge on how it works will come when I see the results!!!
Thank you in advance

Hi Von, This may be a late reply and you've already found a book that fits you. If not, I recommend this book or Mark Sissons Primal Blueprint as the best way to get your head around Paleo, or if you really want to throw yourself in 'It starts with food' is a strict 30 day plan which can be followed by a paleo lifestyle. The 30 days will be a great way to kick start a healthy lifestyle! Read some testimonials on their site.. www.whole9life.com.
