EA make a game worth playing!,
This review is from: Mirror's Edge (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
Personally I avoid EA games like the plague. I can't say I've ever enjoyed one...until now..
These days it seems every other game that is made is a FPS, and while I generally I do like them there does come a point when you get bored of the same thing and just want to experience something different.
'Mirrors Edge' is certainly different. Even if I didn't like it I would still have to respect it for being different; not just another shooter.
While the game does have some aspects of shooting the main focus is running. If you were playing it on easy you'd most likely be able to get away with not shooting a gun once.
One of the first things I noticed about the game were the cutscenes. They are different (almost strange) campared to most other games. Which I must say I liked.
After a short while playing you realise that the people who made the game were trying to make something different. I think it worked really well.
I don't think this game would be for everyone...espectially not the impatient.
The game loses a star for two very good reasons; 1. The shear fustration you have to endure at times in the game. 2. The length; the game is far to short and can easily be completed in 2-4 hours.
I was given this as a present and I really enjoyed it. Deffinitely worth a try, especially if you can pick it up cheap.
