The wholefood and nothing but...,
This review is from: 200 Veggie Feasts: Hamlyn All Colour Cookbook: Over 200 Delicious Recipes and Ideas (Paperback)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Some recipe books are filled with the chef''s (usually irrelevant) reminiscences and arty photography - some are just filled with recipes. Hamlyn's 200 Veggie Feasts is full of the food, the wholefood and nothing but the food. There are 200 genuinely useful recipes, mostly easy and quick enough for everyday use - assuming you keep a reasonably well-stocked larder or live within easy reach of a good deli or supermarket. Some are simple twists on everyday meals -- like serving scrambled eggs with a dollop of pesto -- while others would dress up nicely for an impromptu dinner party. Everything is simply presented, a full-page photo beside each recipe, and the book itself is the perfect size to stow in the kitchen drawer. You'll probably find yourself reaching for it whenever you need a spark of inspiration and for that use alone it's a bargain.
