This is the most amazing most helpful book I have ever read.
As someone who has been excellent at beating themselves up I had a lot to learn.
The author mixes description of self-compassion and how it applies in different situations with her own experience, which I found genuine and affecting.
The exercises are helpful and they seem to make a difference, also they feel ok for me, not too American or fake.
When I've finished this book I'm going to start it all over again.

That pretty much sums it up for me too.
And it's the first time I had mindfulness explained to me in a way that made sense. Life-changing indeed!
