This review is from: The Husband Trap: A Rouge Regency Romance (Kindle Edition)
Violet ends up swapping with her twin sister and marrying Adrian who she has been in love with for ages but she struggles to keep up with charade. She is usually shy and stays in the background while her sister is in the thick of things so it really makes things hard for Violet to be in the centre of attention and pretend she is her sister. She finds it harder when they are alone as they start their married as she has to keep a lot of things secret and make sure Adrian doesn't find out. She manages to survive and convince everyone for a while but the pressure is getting to her but she is more in love with Adrian than ever and feels guilty for deceiving him especially when he always calls her by her sister's name. But pretending to be her sister helps Violet somewhat as she finds confidence with being in crowds and carry on a conversation. The happiness doesn't last long as she senses he separating himself from her and she can't work out why. When he eventually finds out who she is, she is heartbroken but knows she can't stay and is willing to agree to anything that he wants.

Adrian is suspicious about his new bride as he heard rumours about her before the wedding and didn't really care for her attitude about his cancelling their trip abroad so he is pleasantly surprised when they start their married life that she is a lot calmer and doesn't complain too much about their changed plans. As he spends more time with her he slowly starts to fall for her but he soon becomes suspicious again when he starts seeing things and taking them the wrong way and when he eventually finds out what has happened he is furious and distances himself from Violet and sets in the motion to sort the whole mess out.

Even though Violet was deceiving Adrian you can tell she does deeply love him and on many occasions she wants to tell the truth but knows the trouble it will cause. When you read about the sister you know Violet doesn't stand a chance as Jeannette knows how to play Violet but its Adrian who finally makes things right and show the true colours of Jeannette.

I really enjoyed this story and was sucked straight in. This was the first book I have read of Tracy Warren and I was very glad that I have read it as it is another author to add to the list of ones I have to read. So I can't wait to read the next two in the series and find out what is going to happen.
