It's not often I walk into a shop and buy something expensive straight away...,
This review is from: Harman Kardon Soundsticks II - 3-Piece Plug and Play Multimedia Speaker System (Accessory)
...but for once I was very impressed with what was offered by the Soundsticks. I was immediately drawn to them by the transparent cases and futuristic look and after asking for a demo of them I was incredibly impressed. I compared them with a couple of other speaker sets in the shop which were more expensive and I did not feel they offered better quality for an extra £10 or £20. And as it was £190 more for the Bose speakers, I went with these.
They are currently plugged into my MacBook laptop and are also used on my record player, the adjustable bass is excellent (as I bass player I would say this!) and the sound quality is second to none for the price. I could even say they are better than my Mini Hi-Fi speakers however it all depends on where you have the three satellites in relation to each other and the surface they are placed on.
My one gripe with the product is it not having an obvious volume control. I spent half an hour wondering why they sounded so much quieter than in the shop when my Mac was outputting full volume and felt like a complete fool when I finally found it. Even on a see through case it blends in well
