This review is from: Bufflehead Sisters (Paperback)Janet, the narrator of Bufflehead Sisters, wishes for a sister and finds one in the guise of Sophie, an unusual, troubled child with almost other worldly abilities.
Bufflehead Sisters charts the entwined lives of Janet and Sophie from childhood to adulthood and the dramatic revelation that lies at the heart of the story. Both characters are well drawn, but it is Sophie who really fascinates the reader.
This is a beautifully written book, effortlessly engaging and one that I found hard to put down. It really is a treat from start to finish. Patricia J Delois is a very talented writer who deserves much success and I look forward to reading more from her in the future.
