This review is from: Looney Tunes Golden Collection - Vol. 6 [DVD] (DVD)
This is a DVD collection that can be judged by it's cover, which depicts a WW2 theme. Looney Tunes volume 6 has more black and white cartoons than previous collections, and sometimes replaces laughs for an interesting insight into the "war effort" as waged by Warner Brothers. Hitler and the other players of the 2nd world war are depicted and humiliated by the various Looney Tunes characters in style. There are plenty of colour cartoons to be enjoyed and it's a great collection, but not perhaps as much fun as earlier ones. Roll on volume 7!

I don't think there will be a #7, or any more, sadly. We get these long after the USA, and they released this #6 way back in 2008, but nothing since. Also they just released a boxset of vols 1-6 here, possibly suggesting "that's all folks!"

Indeed, There wiull be no vol 7. As they have been over-taken by the SuperStars collection and Platinum collection for Blu-ray, so alas, no more Golden Collections! =\

Looks to me like they're both Region 1, and seeing as I don't have a multi-region DVD player nor a Blu-ray player, I guess I'm done collecting these. Shame, as I'm sure there are far, far more than what's on these 6 sets. Doesn't surprise me that WB would limit such things in the UK, they're the greediest buggers and scoundrels on Earth, and we all know that Blu-ray is expensive! Have to wonder whether the quality of matt animation between DVD and Blu-ray is even going to be noticeable, seeing as Blu-ray improves contrast from film not cartoons. Sounds like a con.
