A great advernture,
This review is from: Journey to the Centre of the Earth (Penguin Popular Classics) (Paperback)
Jules Verne always focused on exploration and man pushing his own boundaries. The adventures that his characters go on have been aped by later explorers e.g. Submariners and Michael Palin.
This journey is not one that has even been copied, and that is probably because the science that Jules based his book on has proven to be fiction.
That said this is 200 odd pages of a mostly sweeping adventures that asks some interesting questions about the limits of man.
