This review is from: The Street Photography Bible (Paperback)
This could have been a five star score. The book demonstrates the pitfall of self publishing. If only a friend had been invited to edit the thing, or at least proof-read it, it could have been elevated from the annoying category.
The photographic content is much as expected but the writing ... I can only assume that Canadian education is not up to UK standards where English and punctuation are concerned.
Dodgy paragraph spacing, several typo errors and so much repetition of 'I', 'me' and 'will cover this later' is enough to make a less patient man give up.
Before your next foray into self publishing, please delete scatological slang from your vocabulary and learn the basic publishing tenets concerning 'widows and orphans' regarding layout.
A potentially useful book for beginners, totally devalued by these careless errors.
No. I really cannot be bothered to return it. But I am tempted. It would not even be good value as a free e-book. I really prefer to give no review at all than a negative one, but other potential buyers need to know this stuff to avoid disappointment.
