This review is from: George Harrison: Behind The Locked Door (Hardcover)
Thomson is clearly a fan but no sycophant. Harrison was known as 'the quiet one' but he could just have easily been dubbed 'the wayward one', given his lack of musical output over a long period. He just wasn't interested in the rubbish aspects of the music industry, and fair enough. His individual mistakes and foibles were somewhat unique in the pantheon of rock star silliness. Yet the Concert for Bangladesh remains an unassailable landmark, as does his first solo album post-Beatles (would've sold more if it was a double etc).
Those who thought Thomson's book on Kate Bush was excellent will not be disappointed. Buy with confidence.
