This review is from: Fighter Pilot's Summer (Paperback)While I appreciate the sentiment of the sequel's author (Paul Richey did not write this book) and his admiration for Paul Richey, this book lacks the personality and realism of the first book. This book reads more like an obituary or a speech at a funeral with some disassociated third party recounting events they only heard about third hand.
I truly enjoy first-hand accounts, particularly from pilots. I've even read through some weak biographies of great fighter pilots(Thach Weave comes to mind), unfortunately, I couldn't bring myself to finish this book.
