The pocket guide to MHA,
This review is from: The Pocketbook Guide to Mental Health Act Assessments (Paperback)
This is an excellent resource for both AMHP's and other affiliated professionals or anyone wanting to know more about the process of a mental health act assessment. It is concise, relevant and uses straight forward language. It covers all the stages of a MHA assessment and it is broken down into short chapters. I found the checklists and reminders especially helpful. The chapter that covers section 136 is particularly pertinent to my role in Liaison psychiatry. It explains the steps that need to be taken and addresses some of the variables such a transfer under 136. This will be a very useful resource for staff within the team and in the wider A&E department.
