Good film, but.....,
This review is from: All Quiet On The Western Front [DVD] (DVD)
Richard Thomas and Ernest Borgnine play good parts in this re-make of All Quiet on The Western Front. The accents are hard to deal with however, and despite near misses in the trenches and attacks, the feel of the film on The Western Front did not hit home with me. I would strongly recommend all to consider the original oscar winning black and white 1930's version of this film which is without doubt the best ever made.

I think the accents are irrelevant. It hardly requires imagination. They have completely the tone and the language of the time and of the Germans. It is subtle but clear.
