Looks good but doesn't work well,
This review is from: Sagemcom Sixty Digital Cordless Retro Style Telephone with Answering Machine - Black (Office Product)Although this telephone looks smart I regret buying it and will get rid of it. The problems that I have with it are: 1. The answer phone comes on too quickly. Despite setting it to ring the maximum of 7 times before answering, it only rings 3-4 times before answering. 2. With the answer phone turned off it still "answers" but just giving silence and then when the caller hangs up, it still displays the incoming caller and doesn't hang up so subsequent callers get engaged signal. I have tried changing the flash settings as the instructions recommend but this makes no difference.
Additionally, I find that I have got used to having dialing keys in the handset. I frequently find it is a nuisance to have to go back to the base station to ring a number that I have looked up somewhere else.
Unfortunately the good aspects such as very clear sound and good looks are over-shadowed by its faults.

I agree with this comment. The phone looks great but is impractical. No number pad on the handset so you can only dial from the base station. the circular lay-out of the numbers is slow to use. The incoming caller ID doesn't work, showing all calls as "unidentified" even if they are stored in the memory. The handset has a single on-off button that is placed exactly where your fingers go when you pick the phone up; by touching the button you lose the call. VERY frustrating. I'm taking mine back tomorrow.

D. Krohl (SAGEMCOM SUPPORT): Dear Peter Young, We have recently become aware that a few customers have accidentally selected the wrong country (France) during setup instead of UK and this would unfortunately result in some of the problems you have described with the answerphone etc. due to different line types in the two countries. It is possible to rectify this by resetting the base and choosing language and country again. If you need support to do this, please do not hesitate to contact our friendly support team on local rate number 0845 0900 316.
Kind regards, Your Sagemcom Support

I agree, it looks lovely, I love the old-fashioned ring and the sexy lights - but it is so ludicrously complicated that you lose the will to live... I managed to do an outgoing answerphone message but it took me about half an hour to work out how to so it. Then when the phone was all connected up, someone called but couldn't hear me through the handset so had to do speakerphone, which had a dreadful quality! The instructions are particularly confusing and in the end even my husband - who is great at setting up gadgets etc - also gave up. A real pity, it's a gorgeous design.

I have just bought this phone for £90!!! and agree with nearly everything you say, it only rings 3 times when answer machine on, not nearly enough time to reach the phone unless you are sitting right beside it!!!I also find it bizzare that if you turn off the answer machine the phone only rings about 6-7 times then seems to "answer" but you just get silence!!!!
I bought it knowing about the problems with no key pad on handset and thought i would put up with the inconvenience of that because of the look of it,however the other problems i feel i cant overlook. £90 is way tooooo much money to pay for this product with these drawbacks
I wish i had read your review before buying it.I am returning it tomorrow as it is not fit for purpose
