This review is from: Darker After Midnight (Midnight Breed) (Paperback)
I think the other reviewers have written enough synopsis for me to not have too.
I just finished reading it and it was without a doubt the darkest in the series so far, i loved that about it actually, that there was more action, blood guts gore etc, it was great to see mass fighting and butt kicking going on.
The biggest thing i loved about this book was that it wasnt just focused on the romance between chase and tavia, but that it included every single one of the breed too, and that is always something that seems to be scoundrelly lacking from many books these days, the inclusion of the other central characters.
Lara does this book and the series proud, and as i turned the final page after reading the epilogue at the united nations i was like what the hell is goig on and it wasn't until i researched it that i found out that the books are not in fact ending, but when you read the final words, there can be no doubt in your mind that this is a conclusion to the breed stories in their current format.
Every member is now paired off with mates and offspring, well most of them anyway, but i do believe that lara can in fact continue the stories but i would probably advance the stories a good few years into the future, by having chase and tavia search for the other gen one females that dragos has engineered, and also i think there may be a connection between mira and kellan considering the way he protects her and doesn't like it.
Also i would like to see how nathan grows up and i imagine a book set probably 15 years in the future where they stumble across one of the new gen one females and nathan falls hard, after having such a crappy life, he deserves an happier future.
Anyway that is just my take on it, im sure lara will come up with something equally amazing but please dont leave it so long, your books are amazing and i cant wait for the next one.
