Great bit of kit, shame it's so expensive here,
The LEDJ is a lovely, small, cool (in the sense of not-actually-heat-generating) RGBA lamp.
The A stands for amber, and is basically dealing with the fact that if you LOOK at a green LED and a red LED next to each other, you see a green LED and a red LED, not a wash of yellow light... so the A is important if you are going to look at the light rather than have it in a concealed fitting (which, given these are basically stage / disco lights is the normal way you use them.)
Obviously, in most cases, you'll have this connected to a DMX controller, but you can just pick it up, plug it in, and change the colour it shows by hitting a series of buttons on the back (which is explained in the manual but takes a couple of minutes to pick up.) The RGBA are assigned to 4 DMX channels, rather than the 3 you'd need if you were using a conventional RGB multi-colour lamp.
And it's cool - you can have it on full and touch it without feeling hot, let alone burning - this is the marvel of LED lamps.
Sadly, the Amazon price is about 1/3 higher than some other UK web retailers.
