This review is from: Sleeping with Fear (Mass Market Paperback)
I have to admit that this is one of my big fears, that someday I'll wake up and my memories will be missing. So there was quite a powerful resonance with Reilly Crane when that's exactly what happened to her.
To add to her problems her normally reliable paranormal powers are fuzzy too, adding to her confusion and disorentiation. She's missing three weeks of her life, the three weeks since she arrived at the beach cottage to rest and reassure a friend that the stories of occult goings-on were nothing to worry about.
What's worse is that she's woken up covered in blood. There's a dead body in the area and she's not sure how she's involved but it's opened up old wounds.
It's fun, light, interesting and I enjoyed it, it did keep me guessing right up to the end as to what was going on and kept me glued to the pages, wanting to know how it was going to resolve and would she recover her memory. I'm a fan of psychic detective stories and really enjoyed this series. Kay Hooper continues to keep me as an avid fan.
