Why were you not impressed? Did you try to make a cake from the book?
I did, it turned out just awful and I had to throw it away.
I am a pretty good cook and have made quite a number of cakes. This book boasted of being so different I did not look at the recipe as critically as I should have done - But the amounts of ingredients does not make sense if you do.
Please - Be a dear, and give me some hints of what to get, cheaper and useable. I will not sell my book, I will not let another soul be as dissapointed with a big dark brown caramel cake, nobody could eat and be satisfied with. There was too much sugar, honey and butter. I realized after I had made it and looked at the result. It was a flop.
