Bought elsewhere - but this is a great product,
This review is from: PiHUB (UK version) - A high-power, reliable, USB 2.0 hub ideal for the Raspberry Pi®
There are a lot of problems with USB Hubs, with areas such as mechanical connections (the USB connectors become loose and cause power glitches), with unexpected loading (with a powered hub connected to a powered port on your computer you can burn out some very expensive gadgets) , wth overheating, with a lack of power (high power consumption can drag down the voltage level, creating strange problems with disparate components), etc.
In short, don't but a £7 one and then have to bn it. Buy a £13 one and keep it for life.
If in addition you get a nce design that you like on your desk and don't have to hide and a 3Amp (yes! I dare any device to drag that down!) then the extra £6 is well worth it.
I would recommend buying this one (£19) instead of the £13 one (available elsewhere on Amazon) as this one has a 3 Amp power supply.
Also look on the Raspberry Pi Org archives. You will find 108 positive reviews.... and lots of additional suggestions (e.g. can run multiple PIs) that I cannot personally verify.
